failed to connect to the device about it?

suddenly my app stopped working and says failed to connect to the device please could help me about it?

We do apologize if you weren't able to view the cameras remotely and you are getting that error.

For us to further assist you with this, could you please provide us the model number of the unit that you have? The model number is located underneath the receiver/camera and usually starts with SW, SR, SO, WMT, DVR, NVR, DVK or NVK.

May we also know if there's a power outage prior to this? Did you make any changes in the settings? Have you changed your router recently? How does the DVR connected to your router? Is the DVR connected to the monitor?

Hi I have the same issue my details are as follows
DVR8 - 4550 - R
no power outages we are aware of - it did ask to perform a firmware update and I entered the password and I’m pretty sure - it stopped working after that
it was making a funny noise inside so we took it to jay car and they suggested replacing the hard drove so we did
need them to be working so any advice will be appreciated
I’m having the same issue. Failed to connect to device. Is there a fix for this?
